Anatoliy Golitsyn
Anatoliy Golitsyn, a major in the KGB, defected with his wife and daughter to the CIA Station Chief in Helsinki in December 1961.
Golitsyn was an intelligence analyst not an operations officer. The information provided by him led to the discovery of one major spy in NATO headquarters and three lesser spies in western intelligence.
